Pet-Friendly Apartments in Coconut Creek

Are you thinking about adding to the family or considering a move to our Coconut Creek apartments because of your adorable pup and our pet-friendly policies? We would love to welcome you and your new four-legged bundle of joy into our community! If you are considering a new puppy or thinking of adopting an older dog, consider the following breeds. They are the ideal size and temperament to dwell well in an apartment:

French Bulldogs:
Often referred to as “Frenchies,” this breed is a perfect apartment dog. They are small—weighing in at 20 pounds—and they are quiet and calm most of the time. Frenchies like to chill and relax near their owners. Buy them a comfortable bed with a blanket so they can create their own comfy places to lounge when you aren’t home. French bulldogs are great with other pets and young children. This breed is known for being easy to train, but be patient because they can be stubborn too. They do require daily walks and attention too.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel:

This breed weighs in as the smallest on our list, weighing only 13-18 pounds. These precious dogs love to be spoiled and shouldn’t be left alone for extended periods of time. Spaniels are known as chasers which can be entertaining for children, but not for other pets, especially cats! This breed is also extra friendly so be prepared to stop several times during your evening walks to meet all your neighbors!

Pugs:
Our other featured breed is the Pug. They are relatively small, highly affectionate, and require regular exercise due to their high-energy nature. While they are energetic sometimes, other times their lazy and loveable side comes through that makes them want to snuggle and sleep near you (if snoring bothers you or interrupts your sleep, this squished nose cutie may not be for you). Pugs like playing with other animals so if you already have a dog or cat, a Pug would be a good addition to your family.

These three breeds are great options for apartment living. They don’t require a lot of space. All of these dogs require little exercise and don’t need a full-size yard to be happy. Do your own research about these breeds and others to make the decision for you and your family.

Don’t forget our community has a dog park where you can take your new pup to enjoy the outdoors! Schedule a private tour of our apartment community today!
